THEIA

Use my phone

Type it on your phone, not with a remote.

Sending something from your phone

  1. On the TV or computer, choose Use my phone. It’s in first-run setup (on a computer, under the box where you paste a link), in Settings > Sources (Add with my phone), and in Settings > Premium (Enter a key with my phone).
  2. Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera, or go to theiaplayer.com/send and enter the code the TV shows. Entered a code? Check that the 6-digit check code on your phone matches the one under the code on the screen.
  3. Pick Playlist link, Xtream login, Guide link or License key. The page offers only what the TV asked for.
  4. Type or paste it, then tap Send to TV.

Theia fills in what arrived, marked From your phone, and checks it just as it checks anything you type. Nothing is added until then. A license key turns Premium on as if you’d pasted it.

Private by design

What you type is locked on your phone with a one-time key from the QR code, and only the device showing it can open it. Our server passes the locked copy along without being able to read it, and deletes it as soon as that device has it. The page keeps nothing on your phone and loads nothing from other sites. You don’t need an account for this.

Have a Theia account? Sign the TV in, and your other devices send it your sources, so there’s nothing to type. Use my phone stays for anything that isn’t in your account yet.

If it doesn’t arrive

Keep Use my phone open on the screen until it does.

  • This code has expired. A code lasts 10 minutes. On the TV or computer, choose Get a new code.
  • Something was already sent with this code. Each code carries one message. Get a new code on the screen.
  • Something’s wrong with this code. Your phone couldn’t confirm the code belongs to your device, so nothing was sent. Scan the QR code instead.
  • This browser can’t lock what you type. Update your phone’s browser, or use Type it here on the device.
