TiviMate for PC
TiviMate has no Windows app, so on a PC it only runs inside an Android emulator. Theia is a native Windows IPTV player built for a mouse and a big monitor, with search that finds the game and a Sports screen that shows which channel has it. Your playlist moves over in two minutes.
Can TiviMate run on Windows?
Not as a Windows app. TiviMate is built for Android TV and a remote, and its listing says it isn’t made for phones or tablets either. Some people run it inside an Android emulator, with mixed results. The Windows Subsystem for Android route closed when Microsoft ended it in March 2025.
What you get with Theia
- A real Windows app. No emulator in between. Theia is built for a mouse and keyboard on a big monitor, and it’s on the Microsoft Store as Theia: IPTV Player.
- Search that finds the game. One search covers channels, the guide, movies and series, and it forgives typos. Type a team and Theia tells you which channel has the game, including the event channels your provider renames every day. How it works.
- A Sports screen. Today’s and tomorrow’s games with live scores, each with every channel in your playlists that carries it. Follow your teams to keep their next game in view, and set a reminder with one click.
- Streams that fix themselves. When a stream drops, Theia holds the last picture and brings it back. When one lags, it moves to a better stream of the same channel on its own.
- It respects your stream limit. Tell Theia how many streams your account allows, and previews, recordings and multiview tiles stay inside that number unless you say otherwise.
- On your TV too. Theia’s beta runs on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV, and updates itself. Theia for Mac updates itself too, and Premium bought here works on your computers and TVs.

What TiviMate does better
- It’s been on Android TV for years, designed around a remote. Theia’s TV version is a new beta.
- It reads Stalker portal logins. Theia reads M3U, Xtream and antenna tuners.
- It has parental controls. Theia doesn’t yet.
Switching takes two minutes
- Get Theia, free. On Windows, from the Microsoft Store or the download page. On a TV, install the beta with Downloader.
- Paste the playlist link or Xtream login you gave TiviMate. An Xtream login brings its guide, movies and series with it. If your guide (XMLTV) came as a separate link, add that too.
- Star your favorites again. Theia can’t read a TiviMate backup, so favorites and channel order start fresh. Favorites are free, and your own channel order and groups come with Premium.
