Credits for the demo channels

Theia includes no channels of its own. The demo source is there to give you something to try before you add your own playlist, and something legal to show in screenshots. Its channels are made up. Its video is open movies from the Blender Foundation, shared under Creative Commons Attribution licenses.

What the demo is

Thirty pretend TV channels, a pretend TV guide, five movies and one series. Every channel name, network, team, league and show in the guide is invented, and so are the channel logos, which I drew. None of them stand for a real broadcaster or team.

The only real titles are the films below. They belong to their makers, and I use them under the licenses listed. Neither the Blender Foundation nor anyone who worked on these films endorses Theia.

What I changed

Each film is re-encoded smaller for streaming: 720p and 480p HLS, a 720p MP4 and a 480p MPEG-TS file. Films that aren't 16:9 get black bars. The movies and the episodes are the whole film, credits and all. Most channels loop the first two and a half minutes of theirs. Sintel and Tears of Steel loop whole, because Blender shares those two on the condition that the credit scroll stays in. The cover pictures are single frames from the films.
