Keep the one you hear on top.

One tile plays sound at a time, and a click moves it. Double-click a tile to fill the screen while the others keep playing out of sight, then come straight back to the grid.

On a computer, Mini player floats the tile you're hearing in a small window over your other apps, and the rest of multiview keeps going.

A demo channel playing full screen, then in Theia's mini player: a small window in the corner of the screen, still playing.

See what's on before you add it.

On a TV, Add a tile opens the guide over multiview, with a small map of your tiles showing which one the new channel takes. Move to a program, press OK, and you're back with the new tile in focus.

Rather type? Search by name is there too. A channel that's already on a tile tells you which one, and Back changes nothing.

Step away. It'll be waiting.

Leave multiview and Theia remembers your channels, your layout and the one you were hearing. Open it again and the whole set is back, without picking a thing.

They wait on Home, in a Multiview card at the front of Continue watching. On a TV, Back asks first: Keep channels, Close channels or Stay. Everything still comes back inside your stream limit, and a channel with no room waits paused with Play on it.

As many as your setup can carry.

Premium plays up to 9 at once on a computer. A TV plays as many as its memory and video hardware allow, and Theia works out that number for you.

Every tile is one stream from your provider. Before you start, Theia shows how many connections each source has free, and it speaks up before a new tile would go past your plan.

Each tile uses one connection from your provider.

Free preview

Try it free, every day.

Without Premium you get 2 tiles for 30 minutes a day. The clock only runs while both are open, and it resets at midnight.

When time is up, the tile you're hearing keeps playing full screen and the other gives back its connection, so you never lose the game you were following. Premium removes the clock and takes you up to 9 tiles.

Make the most of it

Set it up for the busiest night of the week.

  1. Tell Theia your stream limit

Set Streams allowed on each source. Theia then knows how many tiles can open before your provider says no.

  2. Mix your sources

Each source has its own connections, so tiles from two sources can get you past a low limit.

  3. Start from anywhere

Right-click a channel in Live TV and choose Watch in multiview, or click Add a tile for multiview while you watch. On a TV, Add a tile opens the guide, so you can see what’s on before you pick.

  4. Give the main game the big tile

In 1 big, 3 small the big tile plays the best copy of its channel. Small tiles use a lighter copy when there is one, which keeps everything smooth.

  5. Watch two feeds of one game

On a game’s page in Sports, Watch 2 feeds side by side opens both in multiview. It shows when more than one channel carries the game.

  6. Start fresh any time

Once you move tiles yourself, the layout shows as Custom. Reset layout in the bar puts everything back. To forget your channels too, choose Close all channels in a tile’s menu.

Questions

How many channels can I watch at once?

With Premium, up to 9 on a computer, or 4 when its tiles decode in software. A TV plays as many as its memory allows: a 1 GB stick plays 2, a 2 GB box 4 and a 3 GB box 6. Free gets 2 tiles for 30 minutes a day.

Why won’t my second tile open?

Every tile is one connection to your provider, the same as watching on another device. If your plan allows two streams and a TV in another room is using one, only one tile can open. The tile says why and offers what can help, such as Close another tile or Try another source.

What happens when the free 30 minutes run out?

The tile with the sound keeps playing full screen, and the other tile closes and gives back its connection. A short Premium offer appears, which you can dismiss. The time resets at midnight.

Does multiview remember my channels?

Yes. Leave multiview and your channels, their order, the one you were hearing and your layout are kept on that device. Open multiview again, or the Multiview card on Home, and they come back inside your stream limit. A channel your provider has no room for waits paused, with Play on it. Close all channels in a tile’s menu starts fresh.

Does Premium include channels?

No. Premium adds app features only, like up to 9 tiles with no time limit. It includes no channels or streams. Compare Free and Premium.
